Seeking web development/testing intern

Description:

Help promote a grassroot independent digital consultancy. UrbanVine is looking for a web developer or tester with strong online experience to join our team. The candidate will work with our Emerging Media team in crafting and implementing effective digital word of mouth (DWOMSM) campaigns and strategies through PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and/or test code written in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL
- Create technical specifications
- Perform baseline testing (whitebox, blackbox, automation)
- Perform detailed technical research for new web technologies
- Perform cost analysis

Candidate must already be located in the Greater Seattle Metropolitan area.

Requirements:

Field: Computer science, engineering, management of information systems
Education: Completion of at least 1 year in a related technical program, community college / associate's / bachelor's degree or military experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Self-starter: driven to take the initiative and find innovative solutions
• Technical problem-solving aptitude and drive for results
• Highly organized, creative individual
• At least 2 years experience coding in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL
• Familiar with AJAX, REST, LAMP or other new web technologies
