Description

Senator Anderson represents the over one million constituents of the California Senate District 36, which encompasses East County San Diego and the southern tip of Riverside County. Before winning his election to the State Senate, Senator Anderson served as an Assemblyman from 2006 – 2010. Senator Anderson’s district office is a customer service organization. The office works to respond quickly to the needs of all of our district’s constituents. In addition, the district office actively participates in community events and works hard to establish solid relationships with local business and community leaders. Interns in Senator Anderson’s district office will be intimately involved in the implementation of programs that work to accomplish both of these important goals. Interns will also have an opportunity to aid with developing legislation.

Responsibilities

Interns will perform a wide variety of tasks geared toward assisting the Senator and his staff in serving Senate District 36. Examples of tasks include constituent correspondence, research projects, aiding in district office programs, maintaining and operating databases, internet searches, working with government agencies, public appearances, public speaking, and performing general office duties.
