Sergio Rossi is a leading Italian designer, producer and distributor of women's footwear. In addition to luxury women's shoes, the company produces a limited range of men's footwear and offers women's handbags.Sergio Rossi distributes mainly through exclusive department and specialty stores and directly operated stores. In facilities near Rimini, Italy and in cooperation with a handful of highly skilled suppliers, Sergio Rossi produces more than one half million pairs of shoes annually.
Requirements
Sergio Rossi is seeking interns to assist our Wholesale and Buying Teams. He/ She will be very involved with the day-to-day roles and tasks. This is a great opportunity to gain a lot of hands on experience in a small corporate office.
Requirements:
• Available for immediate start
• Minimum commitment of 2-3 FULL days per week
• Must be fluent in English
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Well versed in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Work with outsourced PR company to determine where samples are worldwide and use sample log to track any samples sent/received by the US office. Organizational skills are necessary to properly log all information concerning samples and their destination addresses.
• Work with wholesale department to properly record and keep track of all reorders/returns done by clients in order to properly show data at all times.
• Create seminars for store visits done by wholesale manager/wholesale assistant to better inform the sales associates of products they will receive. This is done by creating a PowerPoint of the product ordered by each client at each location, showing styles/sizes bought, and important selling tips.
• Work along with head of Retail, head of Wholesale and the President of Sergio Rossi on any analysis projects that may come up: trend analysis, competitive analysis, client analysis, etc.
• Perform store visits in NYC: go to stores that sell our product, analyze position on floor and/or in windows, develop relationships with sales associates to see how product is selling in their opinion, etc.
• Coordinating/organizing all shipments to/from the US office, to/from Italy or clients
• Assist with market appointments; providing buyers with anything they may need, organizing the showroom to visually represent the brand the best way possible, organize samples once they arrive from Italy, put together a ‘line list’ book to have quick access to all information of all products available for that season
• Assist Sergio Rossi US team with any other needs that may come up throughout the term of the internship.
