Kelly Services is currently seeking qualified individuals for two Shipping and Receiving positions for a Globally Known Medical Device Manufacturing Company in Redwood City, California.  This is a long term temporary assignment, 1+ year, depending on business needs. JOB TITLE: Shipping Receiving Worker

LOCATION:Redwood City, CA

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT:1+ year assignment (depending performance and business needs)PAY RATE: $19/hour

SHIFT HOURS: 1st shift

Working in a professional, fast-paced environment, your essential job functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         The Shipping/Receiving Warehouse Attendant, under minimal supervision and according to prescribed procedures, will perform duties related to receiving, warehousing, material transfer, production handling, packing, freight handling and shipping. ·         Follow procedures for receiving and dispositioning returned goods to the QA organization. ·         Track inventory in appropriate system and responsible for cycle counting. Restock materials as and when required. ·         Keeps shipping/receiving dock clean and orderly, meeting both safety and Good Manufacturing Practice GMP requirements.·         Work in accordance with ISO 14001 principles, environmental regulatory compliance requirements and environmental policies and procedures. ·         Work with a team concept. Accept change and additional responsibilities and training associated with change. Pass and maintain training and certification examinations as required

Qualified candidates must:

·         A minimum of a High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required. ·         A minimum of 3 year of experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is required. ·         Basic math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages and work with decimals and fractions, required.·         Extensive experience using FedEx Shipping and Tracking system Local and International is required. ·         The ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unaided is required. ·         The ability to work occasional overtime and some holidays is required. ·         The ability to stand and/or walk 50 of the time is required. ·         Knowledge of IATA International Air Transportation Association and DOT Department of Transportation is required Must have the ability to read, interpret and follow work instructions and training materials. Must have experience with receiving customer returns ·         Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ·         Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice GMP environment preferred. ·         Basic computer skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred. ·         Knowledge of shop floor systems i.e. JD Edwards JDE, Maximo, etc. preferred. ·         3 years medical device experience is preferred·         Knowledge of ISO 14385 and 14001 This position is not available through your local Kelly Services branch office.
