Description

Intel's SoC (System-On-a-Chip) driver development and validation teams have immediate graduate intern positions. During these internships, you will be helping develop and test USB3 drivers for Intel's future tablet and smartphone products for both Windows and Android. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Developing a high quality USB software stack using Agile SW development methodologies
- Working in a pre-silicon environment to help determine if the hardware is working as expected
- Writing and executing automated & manual test cases and documenting defects
- Setting up test equipment and running experiments to help debug defects

There are currently 2 Validation Automation Developer internships and 2 Driver Developer internships available. Internships are full-time employment for 6 to 12 months in duration. Willing to work around an intern's school schedule. Intern will be required to relocated to Hillsboro Oregon during the internship.
Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a MS or PhDdegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering



Highly Desired Skills:
- C/C++ knowledge with object oriented experience in software development
- Windows or Linux device driver development, validation and debugging
- Embedded software development, hardware interaction, and pre-silicon or prototype platform development
- Reading and understanding hardware block diagrams and schematics
- General PC architecture and system-level debugging
- Agile / Scrum SW product development methodologies
- Test automation development
- Scripting skills, such as PERL or Python
- Working experience in one or more of the following areas: I/O device, USB, PCI, storage, audio/video, security, network, wireless communication
