Description
The Hispanic Council on Economic Development has the principal mission of helping Hispanic entrepreneurs to succeed by assisting them in the identification of managerial tools as well as sources of capital to start or grow their businesses, and create employment in their communities. We are a non-profit and seek an intern who can help us increase our web presence and leverage social media (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin) to create awareness of the services/events the Council provides. While we cannot afford to pay our intern at this stage, you will have the opportunity to meet great business leaders and influential members of the NYC Hispanic community, while helping developing your managerial skills.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes social media to engage with a community of followers online
- Coordinates online marketing and advertising campaigns
- Demonstrates interest in social media and how media and communication strategies can continuously engage the online community

- Possesses skills in writing, presentation, interpersonal relations, and customer management
- Performs well in environment that values creativity, flexibility, and variety
