Description
This internship focuses on the strategic planning of the organization’s use of social media. The intern will work with the marketing department and the Vice President of Marketing to assess the current social media landscape and to strategically develop a digital plan that will allow for messaging and information to be distributed through different channels. The intern will help increase the visibility of the organization and its services through blogging, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and any other relevant channel. This position is unpaid.

Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
•Create a strategic plan for the implementation and usage of various social media outlets
•Assist in creating a blog for the organization which includes content, direction, and building of blog base and readership
•Increase the visibility of The Centers in the digital world
•Assist Marketing Staff with various projects as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Wordpress
•Experience with creating and maintaining blogs, specifically in Wordpress
•Must have proven ability to work independently in an organized, time-efficient, results-oriented manner
•Must work effectively and professionally with diverse groups, all levels of staff within organization, and the public
•Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities with frequent time constraints
•Excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills required
•Proficiency in Social Media, such as Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, etc.
