DescriptionThe Alzheimer's Association is a nonprofit organization that provides education and support services to those affected by Alzheimer's and their families.
We are looking for interns to assist the Program Director in providing support services. These services include educational presentations in the community, answering Helpline calls and providing information, referrals, and counseling to families, physician outreach, advocacy, and caregiver conferences.
Responsibilities-Assist in answering Helpline calls and entering call information online
-Offer educational presentations in the community
-Visit physicians in the area and provide Alzheimer's Association information
-Participate in annual conference planning
-Office work that includes mailings, updating referral lists and other related tasks as needed
Requirements-Must be working on attaining at least a bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or other healthcare related field (will also take those in graduate school in these fields)
-Must have a professional and friendly phone voice
-Must be comfortable doing presentations on Alzheimer's in the community (will train)
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel and various online tasks
