Biggroove records is an online record label based in the UK. It currently has EKA, Indiscretion, Mr A, Wolf club and DJ Mashdup on its roster. It is an up and coming dance label specialising in Funky house/house/electro pop and soulful ballads. WE are looking for a hard working/keen, enthusiastic intern to lead on our social media and promo campaigns. It helps if you have had previous experience in the music industry , though this is NOT essential (desirable). We are looking for someone with skills to build our online fan base, devise strategies to identify and target potential music buyers; strategies to sell our online CD- design of future CD covers, releases. You will need to be able to add value to our label and to think creatively and have the confidence to 'think outside the box', with limited resources. The post is a remote one, with skype available for discussion etc etc. You will need to be able to manage your time, you will need to be hard working, dependable and reliable. Due to the nature of the business you will sometimes be expected to 'go the extra mile' eg a big release on a monday, we may need your input over a week end-very rare but possible. What do you get? Responsibilities
Devise an initial 3 month plan to achieve the following 1/ build up our online fan base 2/ identify who, where our target fans our and interact with them (world wide) 3/Use methods to ellicit relevant music buying behaviour and devise strategies to buy our CD (downloads/physical). 4/ Raise the label/artist profile 5/ Contac radio stations to encourage airplay, TV stations for video plays etc
Requirements
Must have working knowledge and experience of using social media (face book, twitter, youtube, blogging, soundcloud etc) to promote the label, artists, videos and recordings. You will need research and good analytical skills to identify our fans, buying public (who are they, where are they?, how can we reach them?) and to apply this knowledge and experience to create real sales both of our Cds and our shop (T shirts, bags , caps etc)
