Forget “special projects” for newbies, our software engineering interns work side-by-side with a mentor, making hands-on contributions to the world’s top-selling GPS navigation and wireless communication products. Our interns learn to develop software in C, C++, Assembly or other selected languages. They also test software, perform software releases, quality assurance activities and performance maintenance activities…all on actual Garmin products. Come on, what are you waiting for? Qualified candidates must have completed coursework in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another engineering field plus a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Relevant experience and/or training in a high level language such as C, C++, C# or Java, data structures and object oriented design methodology plus demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills is also required.

Candidates with a cumulative 3.5 GPA and previous experience working in a team environment are preferred. Interest and/or active participation in a Garmin market segment – aviation, marine, automotive, outdoor, or fitness is a major plus!
