Responsibilities
Saab Sensis teams students with senior engineering mentors who are designing integrating and testing air traffic control systems for use by domestic and international customers. Tasks typically performed by engineering Co-Op students include:
-Analyzing, designing, implementing, and unit testing software modules to enhance product functionality.
-Investigating problem reports, proposing and implementing solutions to problems in existing software, and working with test engineers to test implemented changes to software.
-Participating in requirements and design reviews.
-Developing test tools for use in system test and data analysis.
-Generating test data files for use in system test and integration.
-Collecting and analyzing software engineering metrics to measure development process efficiency and product quality.
-Performing trade studies of software engineering tools and development processes.

Requirements
Required Skills:
-C/C++ or Java programming
-Familiarity with scripting languages
-Experience with Linux or Unix development environment
-An understanding of the software engineering lifecycle
Qualifications:
-Enrollment in an accredited degree program, with a major in an appropriate engineering or science discipline
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
-US Citizen
-Must have completed Sophomore year or greater
