Description
The Missouri History Museum is accepting applications from students who are
interested in an on-going un-paid internship with our Moving Image and Sound
Collections.
Responsibilities
The intern will work on tasks related to mastering, digitization and cataloging
footage from new and preexisting media collections. The intern will gain training
and experience with professional level video capture, non-linear editing and
DVD/CD authoring from a variety of historical analog film/video/audio media
formats.
The intern will be working on MAC based NLE and DVD/CD software.
The intern will also receive training on and be expected to perform basic film
inspection, assembly and preservation.
Requirements
The intern must be capable of using a MAC and/or PC and have some
knowledge of film, video or audio recordings.
The desired candidate will befamiliar with analog and/or digital audiovisual equipment and with the processes and terminology of media production and recording.
The preferred candidate will major in Film, Television, History Production, Communications or Journalism.
