DescriptionPhillySportsPulse.com is looking for writers who are able to contribute between two and three pieces of sports journalism per week on an array of sports topics relevant to the current sports atmosphere in the city. You will have a large amount of creative freedom in this position to write opinion features on any aspect of sport you choose and game recaps. Ideally you would commit to producing three pieces of work each week which would be published online at www.phillysportspulse.com with little or no editing. As such, we are looking for aspiring journalists who can write passionately and articulately to a knowledgeable audience both locally and nationally without the need for constant micro-management and timing reminders.
You will be joining Emmy Nominated Writer Joe Santoliquito, local writer Jack Redfern, and former 610 WIP and ESPN 950 radio host Jody McDonald in our Articles (The Pulse) section of the website where your writing will be highlighted for local and national attention. Philly Sports Pulse.com is a leading affiliate portal to the sports industry, where many blogs and sites such as yahoo and cbssportsline index for their local insight. Whilst the role is unpaid we will offer you the chance to have your work published and seen by a knowledgeable sporting audience. We will also provide good references for future jobs should your time working with us be positive.
