CBS and MaxPreps.com (MaxPreps) are excited to offer a new journalism internship program strategically focused on high school students interested in the sports video industry.
Each semester, MaxPreps deploys the "MaxPreps High School Journalism Program.” The opportunity provides a finite number of internships to aspiring high school students and journalism programs across the United States. Our #1 goal is to deliver real-world experience in the field of journalism to your students.

Responsibilities
- MaxPreps will allocate an assignment to each participant during the course of the internship.
- Will be responsible for working in the field recording video and audio coverage of high school sports and editing the final production.
- Will be reporting each week on the school’s sporting events and will act as the “voice” of the school. They will be responsible for providing video coverage for their specific teams focusing on pre-, in-, and post-game rituals.
Requirements
- Academic Credit: Student must have a signature of support from a teacher that they will receive some kind of academic credit from.
- Teacher Signature: Each application must include a signature from a full-time media, journalism (newspaper) or English teacher or administrator.
