Argon is seeking student Engineers. The selected candidates will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with highly skilled engineering teams in one of the following areas: design and implementation of real-time/embedded software, java development, C/C + + development, software integration, field testing of advanced sensors or communication systems, data collection/analysis, development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements and algorithm software development. Problem solving and innovation are skills at the heart of engineering and computer science. The ability to apply the concepts learned in the classroom to complex, real-world problems is required. Experience with C, C++, Java, Matlab, SQL, XML, Qt, CMMI, UML, Cyber, Virtualization, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Software technology or Object Oriented Programming is preferred. Current government clearance is a plus. Ability to obtain a final government clearance is required.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, Argon builds the advanced electronics payloads which are carried around the globe by our nation's forces every day. These payloads range from small-footprint highly mobile systems for unmanned aircraft to larger multi-rack systems installed on submarines and naval ships patrolling the open seas. Argon ST is also involved in cyber defense, attack, and exploitation of computer networks. The challenges our engineers tackle span a broad range of applications including: Communications Intelligence (COMINT) to detect and exploit RF communications signals, Electronic Signals Intelligence (ELINT) to detect, identify, and geo-locate radar and missile threat platforms and Computer Network Defense (CND) to protect our national networks against foreign threats.

The ability to communicate well with engineering personnel/organizations, project management, technical staff and customers is required. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, analyze technical problems, develop solutions, and ultimately present them to customers.
Basic Qualifications For Consideration
Are you currently enrolled at a college or university in a Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Computer Science related degree program?
Do you have education/training and/or work experience in any of the following software development languages: C, C++ and/or Java?
Will you have completed your Sophomore year by June 2013?
Are you willing to work in Fairfax or Newington, Virginia for the duration of the internship?
Typical Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED.

Clearly state your major, cumulative GPA and graduation date (month and year) in your resume, resumes without GPA will not be considered. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a final government clearance up to the Top Secret level is required for all internship positions.
