Business Development Internship
Client Services Internship
The Client Services Department is responsible for meeting the service expectations for the 46,000 music publishers that HFA represents.
We offer internships in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The Spring and Fall internships are part-time positions (12-15 hrs/week), unpaid, school credit only. Spring term begins in January and end in May. Fall begins in September and ends in December. The summer internship is a full-time paid internship, which runs from June through August. Cuts off dates for applications are: December 15 for Spring, May 15 for summer, August 15 for fall. Responsibilities
• Assist Inquiry Agents in educating callers on the fundamentals of music publishing and rights management
• Provide assistance as needed to Client Services Agents in handling client inquiries from major publishers and boutique music companies
• Research back-up documentation, cash receipts and process warehouse requests
• Song and Address database management
• Scan supporting documents as needed
• Collaborate with Client Services staff on special projects
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate or graduate student with a music/music business, communications
• Familiarity/strong interest in digital music technology preferred
• Well organized, detail-oriented, hardworking, enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software - including PowerPoint
