Business Development Internship Distributions Internship The Distribution Department manages timely royalty payments and statements processing for music publishers and ensures that licensee royalty reports are properly loaded into our system, accurately matched to HFA license numbers, HFA song codes, and publisher accounts. Additionally, the Department converts paper based royalty reports to electronic formats using an Optical Character Recognition Technology (OCR) for electronic distribution. The Department also ensures that the relevant checks, statements, and data files are processed and prepared for delivery to publisher-principals within the appropriate distribution quarter. Specific accounts are assigned to Distribution Analysts and Processors for daily handling, which includes formatting data files for computer matching systems utilizing Microsoft Excel and other applicable applications. We offer internships in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The Spring and Fall internships are part-time positions (12-15 hrs/week), unpaid, school credit only. Spring term begins in January and end in May. Fall begins in September and ends in December. The summer internship is a full-time paid internship, which runs from June through August.
