COMPANY INFO
HFA is the nation’s leading provider of intellectual property management, licensing and royalty calculation and distribution services for the music industry. With over 46,000 music publishing clients, HFA issues the largest number of licenses for the use of music in both physical and digital distribution formats. HFA makes licensing fast and easy with Songfile®, its online application. The company also offers a variety of outsourced technology solutions designed to facilitate the administration of intellectual property rights. As a technology innovator, HFA is leading the industry in establishing global data standards and is a founding member and Board member of the Digital Data Exchange (DDEX). For the last three years, HFA has ranked in the top 250 of InformationWeek 500: Relentless Innovators list. In business for more than 80 years, HFA is the music industry’s most comprehensive resource for rights management.
Information Technology Client Solutions Department
The HFA Information Technology Client Solutions (ITCS) organization is focused on maintaining existing systems that support HFA’s ongoing licensing and royalty distribution activities while also extending those systems to support new business opportunities, particularly those in the digital music marketplace. ITCS, through its Program Management Team, leads the Executive Team through the definition of the rolling 18 month strategy (identifying, defining, and prioritizing essential projects across the company.) This includes focusing on projects critical to the evolution of HFA as well as shaping and implementing the technology aspects of relevant legislation. An intern within the ITCS Department will have an opportunity to contribute to various functional areas during the tenure of the internship based on skills and interest levels.
We offer internships in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The Spring and Fall internships are part-time positions (12-15 hrs/week), unpaid, school credit only. Spring term begins in January and end in May. Fall begins in September and ends in December. The summer internship is a full-time paid internship, which runs from June through August. Cuts off dates for applications are: December 15 for Spring, May 15 for summer, August 15 for fall. To apply for our Internship program, please submit your information through our website at www.harryfox.com or email Dana Glass, HR Director at jobs@harryfox.com.
