Description
The Taft Museum of Art in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking three interns for its Summer Art Camp. Summer Camp at the Taft provides an exciting, intensive art experience for students entering grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Interns work with master art teachers to facilitate art instruction and recreation for the campers. Interns are required to attend a planning meeting during the week of June 3. Summer camp runs June 10 through July 19 with July 1-5 off. Stipend: $200 per week of camp, $1000 total per intern.
Responsibilities
Interns organize materials, set up and clean after art-making activities. They assist the Summer Camp instructors by helping individual campers and chaperoning outdoor activities and field trips.
Requirements
Internships are available for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in art education, education, or museum studies. Experience working with children is desirable. Interns must arrange their own accomodations, and transportation is not provided.
