Job Duties Responsibilities GEICO has an opening in their IT department for a highly motivated summer intern to work part-time in the Macon, GA office on the Corporate and Revenue Systems team supporting several .Net applications. The ideal candidate should possess experience using Agile project development methodology, analysis skills, C#, JavaScript, XML/XHTML, and SQL Server. Candidate should also be proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. SharePoint 2010 experience is a plus. This is a part-time position starting May 19th until August 8th. At the completion of the internship the candidate will give a presentation to management on what they have experienced and how they have benefited from the intern program.

* REVIEWS and ANALYZES program requirements and DETERMINES the approach required for modifying existing programs and requirements.

* STUDIES and ANALYZES existing business processes as assigned.

* PREPARES requirements deliverables to describe existing proposed functions.

* DEMONSTRATES strong proficiency in internal and external system design.

* CODES, DEBUGS, TESTS and DOCUMENTS programs.

* PREPARES plans and estimates for work tasks and tracks progress.

* ADHERES to the GEICO Code of Conduct, and company policies and operating principles.

* MEETS attendance standard of the business location, to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with supervisors and co-workers. Candidate Qualifications * Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical field at an accredited university
* Possess sophomore, junior or senior status
* At least a 3.0 overall current undergraduate GPA
* Have completed several core technical courses
* Understanding of a programming language, software applications, networking, systems
analysis, or the software development life cycle
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team
