This individual will be conducting analysis on Supply Chain processes & procedures while completing related projects aimed at increasing operational efficiency and reducing costs. Local travel may be required for some projects (no overnight travel required). This is a paid, full-time internship lasting approximately 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2013. Students seeking a longer-term co-op will also be considered.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Evaluate transportation process for optimization, including RFQ and intermodal opportunities
*Audit contracts and compliance requirements
*Develop Supply Chain reports (KPI’s, variances, etc.)
*Assessing legacy data and paperwork
*Support Network modeling, S&OP and ERP systems and processes
*Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Business, Accounting or Engineering. A focus on Supply Chain is preferred.
*Completion of at least one year of higher education required.
*APICS, CSCP or CPIM certifications or Student membership is desired, but not mandatory.
*Accommodating a co-op schedule after internship is desired, but not mandatory.
*Working proficiency of Microsoft Office programs
*Practical experience in Supply Chain activities and management
*Development of key Supply Chain reports and metrics
*Exposure to Supply Chain planning systems and processes
