Description

Intel Communications & Storage Infrastructure Systems Validation Team in Oregon is looking for a highly motivated Intern for a period of one full year
to drive validation upstream across multiple environments from pre-silicon, emulation, and post silicon for leading-edge
SOC, Processor, and Chipset products. In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Being a team member in a group of highly motivated technical engineers performing system validation (SV) activities on new technologies
- Designing, implementing, and documenting software that enhances our ability to validate new Intel technologies
- Working across many functions including silicon/validation architecture, pre-silicon validation, emulation, post-si validation, tools, and HW platforms
- Developing and executing tests to discover and help to resolve functional issues within the silicon to assure that Intel ships the highest quality products
- Engaging early in the product design cycle to read and review design documents, and then specifying, generating, and executing tests for new silicon designs
- Finding bugs in RTL and/or documentation and engaging with the design team to successfully resolve them
- Developing and executing tests in pre-silicon using simulators and emulation platforms in preparation for post-silicon validation activities
- Identifying improvements to the validation process to reduce Time to Market (TTM) and improve efficiency

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for
this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements
and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed
below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/
research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and/or equivalent degree
- 1 year experience and excellent familiarity with C/C++
- 1 year experience in developing software with a Linux or UNIX operating systems
- Experience with computer architectures
- Excellent written documentation verbal communication skills
- Successful history working in a team environment

Preferred skills:
- Experience with low level programming such as embedded systems, driver, and/or kernel development
- Experience with a scripting languages (Python preferred)
- Experience with Intel Architecture, Networking, and/or protocols such as DDR, PCIe, USB, SATA, Ethernet, Cryptography, etc. protocols
- Experience with HW debug equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and/or Protocol Analyzers
