Due to our growth we are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Apprentice - (Intern) on an hourly consulting basis to assist New Directions in supporting our client's information technology staffing initiatives.

New Directions is a Rhode Island based Information Technology, Staffing firm that provides its' clients with: consulting; project staff augmentation and traditional hire services for: Enterprise Business Software (Oracle & SAP); Business Intelligence; and Enterprise Infrastructure and Associated Technologies.

ResponsibilitiesIn this role, the Talent Acquisition Apprentice will:
~ Source resumes of active and passive candidates through internet searches utilizing online resume sites like: Monster.com, Dice.com, Yahoo Hot Jobs, LinkedIn and other tools like Google Search.
~ Partner with Account Management staff in multiple offices to build effective sourcing, screening approaches
~ Proactively conduct research and investigate new ideas to create innovative sourcing strategies.
~ Source active candidates from on-line databases, contact lists, internal databases, and employee referrals.
~ Develop as a search expert for functional area(s) by understanding client hiring needs, position specifications, and search requirements.
~ Format outgoing resumes presented to our client base.
~ Answer incoming phone calls.
RequirementsThe appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:
~ Technically savvy Internet user;
~ Social networking sites (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn);
~ Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
~ Must have advanced PC proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook;
~ Self-directed, detail-oriented, problem solver with a desire to contribute to the organization's reputation and overall success;
~ Business acumen;
~ Team oriented and a good sense of humor;
