Intel Labs is seeking motivated graduate interns in the area of parallel computing research. This is a part-time position located in Santa Clara, California. Parallel Computing Lab ( research focuses on compute- and data-intensive applications from enterprise and technical computing market segments, such as, traditional high-performance computing, emerging big data computing, computational biology, physical simulation, behavioral simulation, and large-scale optimization problems. We work in close collaboration with leading academic and industry co-travelers in this application segment to understand the hardware and software architectural implications for Intel's Xeon and Xeon Phi multicore/manycore processing platforms. Intern will be expected to focus on a specific project of mutual interest focusing on a target research problem in this space.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous job and/or research experiences.

Minimum qualifications
- Must be part of a PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline

Preferred qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates with proven expertise and publications in one or more of these areas: parallel algorithms, parallel programming targeting large-scale clusters, computational fluid dynamics, machine learning, multicore/manycore and emerging special-purpose architectures
