Description

If you are looking for an internship where you can work with teens, use your creativity and gain experience at one of Cleveland’s largest human services agency, this is the internship for you. Our RapArt Center allows interns to work with teens in Cleveland to improve their self-esteem, give them broader outlooks on their culture and others, and many other areas. Working with a licensed supervisor, an intern will create a program designed to engage teens using the skills the intern already has such as music, motivation, culture, language, arts, etc…This position is non-paid.

Responsibilities

• Develop a summer program to keep teens engaged and learning • Recruit members from client base for program • Create and implement a plan and weekly schedule • Track data and outcomes of your program

Requirements

• Junior or Senior student in the areas of social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy or education. • Familiar with Microsoft Office • Should be self-motivated with good coordination/planning skills and creative ability • Must have proven ability to work independently in an organized, time-efficient, results-oriented manner • Must work effectively and professionally with diverse groups, all levels of staff within organization, and the public • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills required
