Description

Cleveland National Air Show will produce the 49th event August 31 & September 1, 2, 2013. The Air Show is one of the oldest and most established annual air shows in the country starting with the National Air Races from 1929-1949 and continuing with the current day Air Show from 1964-present. The Labor Day Weekend tradition attracts more than 100,000 spectators to Burke Lakefront Airport located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.

Responsibilities

The Ticketing Manager is responsible for processing, distributing and record keeping of all tickets and credentials. Duties include: Processing mail, fax, phone and on-line ticket orders throughout the Summer. Managing Box Office walk-in sales the two weeks prior to the Air Show. Working with customers, staff, vendors, performers, auditors, and board members. Process all deposits: cash, checks and credit cards. Managing the data entry and balancing of all tickets and credentials. Training and managing temporary ticketing personnel during peak periods.

Requirements

Area of Study: Accounting, Finance, Business, Management, Sports Management and Theater Management Assets: Friendly personality and attention to detail a must. Basic computer literacy needed. Retail experience and/or basic accounting skills are preferred but not required. Your Future: You will be exposed to all facets of event management and marketing. These skills are transferable to future job opportunities in sports, event and arts management as well. You will gain valuable management and marketing experience that will be a valuable asset in your career development. Time Span: Full-time seasonal employment. Flexible – maximum is June-September. Applicant must be able to work through Labor Day Weekend. The Fun Stuff: Opportunity to learn about the “event” business. Work in an active, friendly and exciting environment. Non-traditional hours during peak periods. Compensation: Hourly rate of $11.00/hour commensurate with experience.
