Description
This internship is in Panama City, Panama (not Florida) and can include travel throughout Panama. Internship is for 3 months to two years and is un-paid. You have to cover your travel and living expenses while in Panama. Schedule is flexible and any travel we send you on, a daily per diem is available.
As part of our content generation or web design, development and Internet marketing teams, you'd be responsible for writing or editing articles about Panama. You'll be describing experiences you live and interviews you do to promote the tourism sector in Panama. Candidates must have an outgoing personality, love to write, be creative, enjoy exploring and unique adventures, be responsible, organized, and know how to manage their time.
You may also work in the travel agency if you'd like to learn that industry or could do a combination of writing, Internet marketing and travel work. You'll leave this internship with knowledge and experience of the travel and hospitality industries and with a general knowledge of internet marketing, including how to blog, optimize articles, social media, email marketing, etc. We own and operate the largest network of websites about Panama in the world. You can take more of a focus in social media and search engine marketing, if you'd like or learn the hospitality, travel and tourism business.
Responsibilities
Interns will work in our travel agency or virtually, if they can manage themselves. This work may include visits to hotels and resorts, tours, restaurants and to go to tourist destinations and experience them in order to be able to write articles about them. Other opportunities can include attending clients and establishing relations with travel agencies in other countries, especially if the candidate speaks another language besides Spanish and English. You can also learn hands-on Internet marketing, from social media to SEO link building, content generation and optimization, email marketing, etc.
Requirements
You must have laptop computer and be a good writer. It's a big plus if you're passionate about traveling, speak more than one language, or have specific skills in sports or activities (such as fishing, diving, kayaking, white water rafting, hiking, camping, bird watching, skydiving, etc) and can appeal to the English and Spanish speaking public based on that experience.
