The Undergrad Intern-IT Database Administrator will work with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases in a highly dynamic environment. This department is responsible for all break fix and request tickets as it relates to Database systems inside of CVS Caremark’s retail environments.
In addition to a better understanding of RDBMS (Relational Database Management System) basics, the intern will also learn the SQL language and how to use it in the aforementioned RDBMS systems. The intern will acquire an understanding of the various database environments within CVS and the ability to identify different stakeholders.
He or she will also be given the opportunity to complete hands-on work on non-critical systems where these acquired skills will be put to use. Additionally, they will be exposed to real-world break/fix scenarios and how those are handled through methodical change control and ITIL processes. Required Qualifications:

*Familiarity with SQL coding *Knowledge of UNIX and/or Windows Operating Systems *Knowledge of VI editor *Exposure to Oracle and/or SQL Server Databases *Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field Education:
*Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at a 4 year college or university and entering their Junior or Senior year in fall of 2014. Business Overview:
