Responsibilities
*NOTE THAT THIS POSITION IS FOR THE SPRING 2013 INTERNSHIP SESSION (JAN/FEB - MAY)*
This internship provides an opportunity for hands-on involvement in the day-to-day running of a production music library. Individuals will participate in key functions that facilitate production and delivery of music within Disney ABC as well as outside markets.
•Proof music tracks and link to our music database
•Assist in preparing materials for posting to search engine
•Assist in tracking and confirming correct music registration
•Proof and correct song lyrics and link to our music database
•Assist Exec Director in organizing new cue packages
•Help organize commercial CD Library
•Proof music metadata
•Track unsolicited submissions and forward to legal
•Sit in on listening sessions and contribute to critique of song submissions
•Suggest cue titles for incoming music
•Perform music searched for clients and create suggested playlists
•Research various projects and compile reports
•Provide general administrative support to department
Basic Qualifications •All students must be eligible to work in the US
•All students must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled at an accredited university
•All students must be available to work a minimum of 16 hours a week (2 full 8 hour days) while in school
•All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
•All students must be proficient with Microsoft Office
•Experience in file/database management
Preferred Qualifications •Students currently in their Sophomore or Junior year
•Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
•Previous internship experience within a related field
•Experience in file/database management
