Position: Intern magazine editor / journalism
Location: Hollywood / Los Angeles
Job Status: Full-time / Part-time
ResponsibilitiesThis is a three-month minimum commitment, beginning in January 2013, with a preferred commitment of six months. Duties include reporting and writing short news items and longer sidebars and articles about entertainment management and conservation, as well as knowledge in typography & work flow, exposure to pre press activities, familiarity with proofreading marks, familiarity with style sheet & journal specific requirements, meeting customer requirements (quality & schedule), good in communication, photo research, fact-checking, preparing online materials and press releases, and some clerical work.
Candidates must have a strong interest in journalism in arts and pop culture, with proven skills in reporting, writing, and online research. This position, simply stay busy, productive, result, and the experience have helped lead some to paid jobs.

RequirementsOn Hollywood Magazine, the central Hollywood region’s premier arts and pop culture publication, seeks an editor or journalism. The successful candidate will continue the online e-magazine’s latest trend of excellence and direct the content for its redesigned website and social media presence.
The ideal candidate will have experience in magazine journalism, strong writing and editing skills and a good design sense. The editor position requires constant attention to detail and an ability to keep deadlines. This position directs a small editorial staff, so an ability to work with a team is a must.
