DescriptionThe Utah Department of Health Asthma Program educates school personnel and community organizations through asthma programs and presentations. The vision of the Utah Department of Health Asthma Program is to improve lives of those with asthma.
ResponsibilitiesIntern’s primary responsibility is to educate school faculty and community organizations about asthma and provide assistance to program staff with a variety of other projects.
The primary application time is between April and May. Interns are trained in June and continue their internship through the fall and/or winter semester. It is requested that applicants commit to a minimum of 180 total hours. Additional hours are available if needed.
Interns will provide asthma trainings and presentations to school personnel and community organizations as well as assist program staff with other projects.
Interns must be available to conduct presentations in schools from Sep–Dec 2013 and/or Jan–Apr 2014. A stipend of up to $500 is available based on performance.
