Description
This internship would involve working at a retail location of Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters Inc., to assist the in-house artist and visual manager on various projects. Tasks would include, but are not excluded to, constructing and maintaining displays throughout the store and coming up with creative solutions to design challenges. He/She will develop a greater understanding of how to break large projects into manageable pieces. The intern will gain a global perspective on the entire visual process in a retail environment and how the display impacts the customers' experience.
Responsibilities
- Support display coordinator with all daily tasks
- Assist in installing and maintaining displays
- Assist in providing inspiration to team
- Assist during events and receptions
- Assist in photographing displays throughout store
-Follow designated timelines and instructions provided
-Willingness to get your hands dirty and work hard
Requirements
- Art Majors (preferred)
- Possess excellent taste and standards
- Possess multi-tasking and coordination experience
- Passion for art; actively involved in the art community
- Demonstrate attention to details while maintaining perspective
