DescriptionVOA (www.voanews.com) is the largest U.S. International Broadcaster, reaching an estimated 141 million people globally each week. We broadcast in 45 languages on television, radio and internet. Our Language services have unique websites and use a variety of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to share content and interact with the audience.
At VOA, we work with colleges and universities year-round to provide students the opportunity to apply coursework learned or taught in the classroom with practice in the workplace. Students work on teams that relate to their major and career goals. We are particularly interested in Journalism students, especially those with social media and video editing experience. If you are bi-lingual or multi-lingual that’s also welcome as we broadcast overseas in multiple languages.
We are looking for students with interests and capabilities in radio, TV, Web-- production as well as webpage design and posting. Are you a gamer, active on Social Media? We’re interested in your skills. We’re also interested in people who can write well. English majors and people with backgrounds in U.S. history, world history, and public affairs are also welcome. Do you speak other languages besides English? We speak 45, and our services will welcome your help, too.
