DescriptionOneAmerica (formerly Hate Free Zone) is a nationally recognized non-profit organization whose mission is to advance the fundamental principles of democracy and justice at the local, state, and national levels through the empowerment of immigrant communities.
This is an unpaid internship that supports the Washington New Americans (WNA) Program for a minimum duration of 70 hours over two months. WNA ensures free naturalization services are available to all eligible Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs) in Washington State and provides the opportunity for LPRs to become U.S. citizens and active members of our community. The position is based in our Seattle office and reports to the WNA Program Associate.

Responsibilities-Implement WNA program goals and objectives under the supervision of the New Americans Program Associate
-Support preparations for Citizenship Days across the state, including identifying local partners and host sites, materials coordination, developing methods to gather data for reporting purposes, revising materials, researching resources for LPRs, etc.
-Respond to inquiries about Washington New Americans program through website and hotline
-Data entry and other administrative duties
-Update and maintain WNA website
Requirements-Demonstrated commitment to fighting for social, racial, and economic justice
-Spanish or other major immigrant language skills strongly desired
-Strong verbal, listening, and written communications skills
-Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
-Comfortable with technology and experience with databases and spreadsheets for program and volunteer management
-Experience with statistics desired, but not required
-Experience with event planning desired, but not required
-Experience with Salesforce desired, but not required
