The U.S. Agency for International Development’s Office of Transition Initiatives, Operations and Management Division (OMD) within the Bureau of Democracy Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance seeks a Web Programming intern to assist in maintaining and developing OTI’s information and technology resources, and providing information, technology and communications support services for OTI program implementation staff.
Essential functions include:
• Assist the IT team in providing support for and improvement to OTI’s core business systems including multiple MS Access databases;
• Assist with system administration tasks related to managing webservers and maintaining databases running on the Linux platform.
• Assist with developing and manipulating various aspects of a Drupal CMS currently in beta-test within the office.

RequirementsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Skills: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of personnel and provide clear leadership, technical direction, and guidance to all lower level personnel. Must have a sharp attention to detail and an ability to identify and correct errors and inconsistencies.
Must be able to meet the requirements for and successfully pass a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) and obtain a security clearance.
