Customer Service Representative

Summary:Supports route drivers by acting as a liaison to all company resources. Provides excellent customer service in response to inbound customer telephone, e-mail and website contacts.

This is an Entry-Level position for a self-motivated and eager individual!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the inside sales resource, supporting multiple Route Salesmen, Area Managers and Regional General Managers marshalling company resources on an as-needed basis and promoting excellent communication.
  • Answer and dispatch incoming customer phone calls, e-mails and website contacts.
  • Convert customer contracts for recurring services into regular sales orders and disperse same to the field on a consistent and timely basis.
  • Process and reconcile daily routes in the company computer system.
  • Prepare pick lists and assist with gathering one-off items for distribution on routes as required and directed.
  • Enter new business (including new business commissions), enter incoming orders, and make corrections to customer records as required.
  • Assist on special projects including rerouting and inputting of new business from chain accounts as required and directed.
  • Assist accounts receivable and collections personnel in posting payments and making collections calls as required and directed.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
