Job Description

Muir Orthopaedic Specialists is currently recruiting for a Director of Imaging. We are a large, multi-site orthopedic group located in the San Francisco East Bay.  This position reports directly to the CEO and will have complete oversight of multiple radiology departments, hiring and training staff, educating patients and maintaining all quality standards in the departments.  The Director of Imaging will also be responsible for preparing comprehensive reports, completing projects, and staying up to date on all policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have previous Radiology/MRI management experience in an outpatient setting.

Operational Duties:

  • Manage and direct the daily operation of assigned areas and staff.

  • Develop, implement, maintain and enforce departmental programs, policies, procedures and protocols.

  • Direct the maintenance of department facilities, equipment, supplies and materials to promote efficient and safe services for patients, physicians and staff.

  • Market and promote Imaging services to referring physicians.

  • Develop collaboration among all clinical and administrative departments and affiliated services to ensure an integrated approach to providing Imaging services.

Personnel Duties:

  • Perform all personnel functions including hiring, evaluations, scheduling, promotions and disciplinary processes.

  • Enhance professional growth and development of department staff.

  • Develop and implement personnel management policies and procedures in accordance with MOS objectives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3  years leader/supervisory experience in Radiology/MRI services

  • Good computer skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Working level of experience with PACS, and EMR/EHR programs

  • MRI certification or ARRT

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • CPR certification

  • Organizational and excellent communication skills
