Description: Provides ongoing support and enhancement for the organization’s Epic system. Ensures accurate data is captured for functional area of expertise and ensures proper utilization of the Epic system takes place by end users. Acts as a resource to functional area of expertise for training, and stays updated on process flows to ensure best practices are adopted for company to get the best use out of the system. Serves as a senior resource and mentor to others on the Epic team.
Project Information: Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains those programs. Consults directly with clinical and business users, and provides second-tier support to end users to ensure reliable application system availability and performance.
-Partners with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
-Provides Tier 2 support to end users for server or mainframe applications, and hardware.
-Designs, codes, tests, implements, maintains and supports applications software that is delivered on time and within budget.
-Analyzes and directs the development and creation of new code or the redesign, implementation and repurposing of existing code.
-Participates in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.
-EPIC Certification in Resolute Professional Billing
-Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
-EPIC experience and certification required
-General knowledge of University and Medical School culture and practices preferred
-Abilities to understand and make recommendations on effective I.T. and business practices
-Effective technical analysis skills and experience
-Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
-Ability to work with confidential information
-Demonstrated effective Microsoft office suite skills
-Operational subject matter experts as well as technical subject matter experts will be considered
