Job Description

Objective

Responsible for the day-to-day administration and/or oversight of various HR programs and initiatives.

Essential Job Duties

· Oversee all on-boarding, inclusive of new hire orientation, working with appropriate department heads (i.e., IT, Facilities), working with hiring manager for first day agenda set up, etc.

· Presents and provides interpretation of new and existing HR policies and procedures

· Assist in non-proctor recruiting and reference checking

· Responsible for all background checks and timeliness of completion

· Oversee the administration of pre-employment testing, working closely with the recruiter and Director

· Creation and regular reporting for various HR metrics and ad hoc reports

· Responsible for personnel file maintenance and inclusive of the electronic document project resulting in paperless files

· Manage all unemployment claims

· Ensure EEO-1 reports are done on time and in entirety

· I-9 compliance and subject matter expert on E-Verify

· Assist in planning and executing employee events

· Working with Director, draft offer letters and send out appropriate correspondence to new hires

· Oversee company sexual harassment compliance and tracking of training

· Assist with entering new hires into ADP system

· Process all termination, inclusive of completing necessary paperwork, exit interviews, and working with payroll

· Act as initial point of contact for general HR issues and questions; escalating matters to Director or Corporate Benefits/Human Resources Manager as needed

· Additional administrative support for HR management as needed

Position Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required

· Minimum of five years Human Resources generalist experience

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Highly discrete individual who can handle sensitive and confidential employee information

· Ability to work with minimal supervision and interact with all levels of the organization

· Strong attention to detail and exceptional follow up skills
