Overview:

Gauss Management Research and Engineering (GMRE) is seeking Joint Terminal Attack Controller’s (JTAC) to support MQ-1 and MQ-9 remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) with Air and Ground Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) training Support. Qualified candidates will provide realistic training exercises for the war-fighter to include Opposing Forces (OPFOR), Friendly Forces (BLUFOR) and JTAC support at March Air Reserve Base, CA.

The purpose of this training program is to support RPA pilots and sensor operators to achieve the following qualification levels: Initial Qualification, Combat Mission Readiness, Requalification, Instructor Upgrade for the effected students. In addition, USAF Weapons School Training includes advanced reconnaissance and surveillance sensors, weapons, ISR target management, and mission planning and execution. Also, support is required in the development and integration of common operating standards, concepts, technologies, tactics, techniques, procedures (TTP), and training through the use of real-time ISR, surface attack, Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), and Close Air Support (CAS) training scenarios on military ranges where aircrews conduct ISR, simulated attacks, CAS and CSAR from the aircraft.

Responsibilities:

The site manager/JTAC supervisor is responsible for planning and oversight of training activities, attend meetings (planning, scheduling, etc.) regarding RPA training, as required, attend Staff Meetings, as required, and assist in the performance and assignment of collateral duties which will consist of: preparation of training aids, attend safety meetings, as required, to maintain a level of safety (ground, range, flight, etc.) to operate in the military environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience as a certified JTAC
  • Previously Qualified JTAC Evaluator (JTAC-E)
  • Post Sept 11 2001 deployment experience
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance
