A growing fast paced Real Estate Management company is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technicians. A Maintenance Tech. is responsible for general maintenance assignments, and performing day-to-day facility repairs. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of all aspects of Garden Style Apartments. Duties will include, but are not limited to, responding to all resident service maintenance requests, move out and turn over repairs. Candidate must be responsible, reliable, hands on, committed. This position reports to the Superintendent of the complex. Heatherwood offers a competitive benefits package including Health & Dental insurance, 401(k), vacation and personal days.
Essential functions are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position.
Must possess knowledge in the repairs of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, HVAC/boilers, etc.
Ensures that work order requests are responded to and resolved in an efficient and prompt manner.
Organize, prioritize and ensure service requests and repairs are made correctly and in timely manner.
Responding and repairing move out and turnover repairs in the apartments.
Inspect grounds, buildings, and other community features daily to minimize liability concerns and ensure excellent curb appeal at all times.
Candidate must possess a high standard of work quality.
Ensure adherence to the company’s safety and hazard communications programs, policies and procedures.
Must be committed to maintaining a high level of customer service.
Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Perform routine preventive maintenance.
Other tasks or duties as assigned by superintendent.
Snow removal is mandatory.
Work as part of a team.
Must have a valid NYS driver’s license.
Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
Have own basic hand tools.
Deadline and detail oriented, reliable and highly dependable.
Prior experience as Maintenance Tech position and/or industry a Plus.
Basic computer and Internet knowledge
Ability to use Outlook
Ability to operate and understand personal computer functions and company utilized software packages
