We are currently hiring Monitor's for the following shifts:

- 3:30p-11;30p Thursday in STAIRS
-Friday 7a-3p in WOMEN'S HOUSE
-YMCA Driver Wed 3p-4:30p, Fri 3p-4:30p
- PRN (as needed/substitute)
-M-F 7:30a-3:30p in STAIRS

POSITION: Med Level 1
SUPERVISED BY: Senior Counselors and Chief Operating Officer
Overall Guidelines
Med level 1 work as part of the clinical team and report to Senior Counselors and the COO. All program monitors will be trained and certified as Medical Technician 1.

Individuals in this position are responsible for:
Maintaining client confidentiality according to Federal HIPAA law
Abiding by the policies, procedures and ethical guidelines of the Missouri Department of Mental Health
Ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents and providing an alcohol and drug free environment
Maintaining cleanliness of building common areas, offices, grounds and vehicles
Maintenance and distribution of medications as directed by attending physician and/or staff nurse
Maintaining a professional relationship with clients
Specific Areas of Responsibility
The program monitor's responsibilities include:
Monitoring of clients at all times during shift for well-being and adherence to program guidelines
Monitoring and reporting of client vital signs (BP and pulse) during detoxification
Report of client well-being, changes in behavior and behavioral infractions to counselors and the COO
Monitoring of visitors and visiting hours
Cleaning and organization of facility to include common areas, restrooms, offices and storage areas
Portions of intake and discharge processes
Cleaning of client sleeping area upon discharge
Preparation of client sleeping area for new admits
Conduct and reporting of client alcohol and drug screenings
Storage, administration, discharge and disposal of client medications as directed by attending physician and/or staff nurse
Maintaining client medication refills and/or notification to clients of need for refills as directed by attending physician and/or staff nurse

Update of additional client monitor documentation as appropriate:
Medication Profile
Medication Log
Controlled Substance Record
Vital Signs Record
Medication Discharge
Individual Client Sign Out
Group Client Sign Out
Incident Reports
Attendance at all in-service trainings and monitor staff meetings
Other duties as assigned by the COO
