Therapeutic Living for Families is an Outpatient Clinic that provides comprehensive health services for people with mental illness and addictions to improve their mental, physical and psychological well-being while strengthening, preserving and supporting their recovery within their communities; Because We Care! We are currently seeking a Mental Health Therapist to provide exceptional outpatient therapeutic intervention services. This position reports to the Director of Programs and provides direct services that include intake assessments, individual / family / group therapy and crisis interventions to assigned clients.

The ideal candidate must possess the following:
*Masters’ degree from an accredited University or College
Be licensed in the State of Maryland to provide services as LGPC, LCPC, LGSW or LCSW-C
*At least 1 year of supervised experience in a mental health setting

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Maintaining regular contact with the parent / guardian of each client; completing master treatment plans, treatment plan updates and managed care authorizations
*Furnishing required reports to DHMH, legal system and other involved agencies
*Participating in the collection of necessary information and student outcomes data to be used for monitoring the overall performance and effectiveness of services provided
*Participating in after-hours call schedule for the clinic; providing complete and timely documentation to support services rendered
*Evaluates the impact of therapeutic interventions upon the therapeutic milieu.
*Facilitating group
*Performing individual and family therapy
*Recognizing, responding, and assisting in psychiatric crisis situations and providing the intervention necessary
*Responding and assisting in medical emergency situations as directed and necessary
*Documenting the assessment of patient progress/regress and interventions provided in the medical record on an ongoing basis
*Communicating effectively with patient, staff, and physician
*Providing patients with education and instruction on Advance Directives
*Maintaining 70% direct service requirement
*Other duties as assigned

Additional Requirements:
*Daily and/or weekly home visits to clients’ homes
*Use of own vehicle for visits to clients’ homes
*Valid driver’s license
