Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance in safety, environmental, and personnel issues that may arise.

Make operational decisions within the yards that are consistent with the yards’ annual and monthly plan.

Direct and manage yard operations for production, quality, shipping, and receiving.

Ensure operating expenses are consistent with the facility budgetary and fiscal performance goals. Develop and control budgets and operating plans.

Manage yard inventory.

Monitor overall yard performance for production and quality standards.

Evaluate, order new and/or replace equipment as required.

Provide direction, development, and leadership to supervision and employees.

Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals & objectives.

Communicate effectively and foster a positive working relationship with other internal departments (i.e. Marketing, Transportation, Accounting, Human Resources & Safety)

All other duties as required.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master's preferred.

Willing to work in multiple locations and permanently relocate to St. Marys or Mansfield.

Five years general management experience in a manufacturing setting.

Experience with ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals.

Industrial maintenance background helpful.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, & Excel. JD Edwards, SAI a plus.

Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Excellent team building, problem solving, & interpersonal skills

Ability to lead, develop, and motivate employees

Team player dedicated to the success of the organization.

Ability to make quick decisions in an ever changing work environment.

Background with operations methods, process improvement programs & procedures.
