Job Description

As part of a small Front-End (FE) development team working on Tripchamp’s client web app, you will working with a C# codebase in the server side interacting with a backend SOAP API. The UI is implemented as a Single Page Application using AngularJS.

This codebase contains some legacy code and newer functionality developed with cleaner coding standards both in the client and server side. As such, you will need to have the ability to work with code refactoring, optimization and overall re-organization of medium-size codebases (especially in the Angular side). All of this within an Agile/Scrum environment with relatively frequent requirement changes to meet startup-environment needs.

Responsibilities

  • Implement new functionality to meet new business requirements, all while being able to navigate some legacy code and produce cleaner/better code.

  • Coordinate with remote backend API team when appropriate to either fix existing bugs or complete new functionality.

  • Juggle needs from different departments to ensure ongoing business operations. For the most part things work within Agile/Scrum boundaries, but sometimes unforeseen high-priority needs pop up for the FE team.

  • Provide expert-level knowledge and direction towards how to architect solutions to ongoing issues in the front end including, but not limited to, code optimization, performance enhancements, and user-experience improvements.

  • Support production environment to ensure ongoing operations.

  • Work with offshore QA team to ensure high quality levels.

  • Help integrations team to solve integration challenges with different 3rd party systems that support business operations.

  • Refactor legacy code as new functionality is built in order to improve code overall health.
