Job Description

Senior .Net Developer
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Center City)

Salary 100,000-130,000 annually

Position Summary:

The Senior Developer is expected to be a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all software systems. This person must ensure tasks are completed on a mutually agreeable schedule, ensuring quality and adherence to project, architectural, and other standards established by the organization. In addition to completing tasks themselves, the Senior Developer assists in assigning tasks to other IT programming staff and provides input to the Manager, Applications Development and Support to facilitate the development and evaluation of IT staff.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7 years minimum experience developing applications with MS .NET, C#, .NET framework 4.5 (4.0 is acceptable), ASP.NET, Model-view-controller (MVC) Web Development, jQuery, inversion of control (IoC)
  • Possess knowledge and

experience with Agiledevelopment methodologies

  • Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) - (SOAP/REST)
  • Entity Framework, ODP.NET, LINQ, NHibernate, etc…
  • team-leader, goal-focused, self-startercapable of working with minimum supervision and managing mutiple tasks concurrently
    • Mentor onshore and offshore development staff
    • Aide in the weekly assignment of work for the team
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Performs other related duties as assigned
    Other Functions:
    • Experience with SiteCore CMS and/or other content management systems preferred
    • Knowledge of design patterns, UML
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities / Educational Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Candidate will be expected to work independently in all phases of the software development life cycle from requirements through testing
    Must be able to deliver high quality technical solutions in a timely manner
    Ability to abstract general principles from specifics
    A strong desire to establish standards of best practice
    Create technical design and functional specifications documentation
    Must be able to integrate software components
    Must be able to design and implement complex abstract classes
    Must be able to code, test, and debug complex applications
    Adhere to and champion company project management methodologies, procedures and policies
    Ability to work with project managers and client departments to manage project progress
    Effectively communicate status of assigned projects/tasks
    Provide technical guidance to other departments regarding cross departmental projects or tasks
    Ability to work directly with non-technical users to identify and capture business requirements
    Aide in determining the future direction of technology at ABIM
    Provide leadership with the introduction of new processes and methodologies adopted by the I.T. department
    Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
    A wide degree of creativity and lateral thinking is expected
