Business Development Internship Collections Internship The Collections department is responsible for ensuring the maximum royalty revenue amount due is collected by HFA on the behalf of HFA’s publisher principals. We offer internships in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The Spring and Fall internships are part-time positions (12-15 hrs/week), unpaid, school credit only. Spring term begins in January and end in May. Fall begins in September and ends in December. The summer internship is a full-time paid internship, which runs from June through August. Cuts off dates for applications are: December 15 for Spring, May 15 for summer, August 15 for fall. Responsibilities

Responsibilities • Process collections letters and schedule follow-up meetings with delinquent accounts • Research and analyze new releases using internal departmental tools • Research and resolve publisher and distributions inquiries received from internal HFA departments • Update and maintain departmental reports • Assist the Collections and Income Tracking Manager with ad hoc projects

Requirements

Qualifications: • Undergraduate or graduate student with a music/music business, finance, economics, accounting • Familiarity/strong interest in digital music technology preferred • Well organized, detail-oriented, hardworking, enthusiastic and positive attitude • Strong analytical and research skills • Excellent oral and written communications skills • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software - including PowerPoint • Some experience in Accounting/Finance desirable • Strong Excel skills mandatory
