DescriptionFor more than 100 years, Bideawee has been the leading pet welfare organization serving metropolitan New York and Long Island. Through a vast array of services Bideawee cultivates and supports the life-long relationships between pets and the people who love them.
The Bideawee Buzz is a multi-media blog showcasing the shops, spots and services that cater to NYC pets, and the people who love them. The Bideawee Buzz will include at least two video segments a month (flexible with days) covering a variety of businesses and pet friendly locations throughout New York City. Most locations will be in Manhattan and a few may be in Brooklyn.
The Associate Producer of The Bideawee Buzz will be responsible for pitching, researching, booking and producing Bideawee’s bi-monthly (twice a month) video segments. The Associate Producer will work with the Brand Manager to confirm locations, finalize scripts and keep team updated and on schedule. Coordinating logistics can be done from home. Position only requires attendance at shoots and potentially scouting locations before day of shoot.
Responsibilitieso Conceptualize ideas for segments and write scripts
o Pitch segment ideas to appropriate businesses
o Coordinate segments with businesses and Bideawee staff members and confirm logistics between all parties
o Scout locations to ensure that venues are appropriate (layout, lighting, etc.) and to plan for shoot
o Liaise with Bideawee Brand Manager to ensure successful internal and external communications
Requirementso Current student at accredited college or university working towards a degree in film/video production, journalism or related field
o Excellent verbal and written communications skills
o Experience engaging individuals in various levels across multiple levels of an organization
o Must have a comfort level around dogs and cats
o Experience with video production (shooting, editing, mixing, etc.)
