DescriptionRed Car is a post-production company founded by the award-winning editor and director Larry Bridges in 1982. It has now grown to six offices in the US as well as one in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We have a number of very talented editors, graphic designers, and a finishing artist whose reels can be viewed on our website www.redcar.com We offer our services to a wide variety of clients including Gatorade, McDonalds, Coca Cola, Coors Light, and Toyota (just to name a few).
We offer a three month long unpaid internship to qualified individuals interested in pursuing a career in the post-production industry. Our interns work between 2-4 days a week (depending on availability) from 9:00am to 5:30pm. It is an excellent opportunity to experience first hand the art of post-production editing, finishing, and graphic design.
Responsibilities* Shadowing our assistant editors

* Learning new software

* Client services (ex. picking up breakfast/lunch/coffee/snacks for clients)

These are just a few things you will be responsible for. It may sound like a great deal of grunt work, but there are plenty of opportunities to learn about post-production. You will be an assistant to our assistant editors. We do not dictate exactly what you have to do every minute of the day. It is your responsibility to take initiative and ask who needs help and find work to do.
What you get out of the experience depends on what you put into it. This is the perfect place to network and increase your post-production knowledge outside of the classroom. The more you prove yourself to be responsible to the assistant editors, the more hands on tasks and responsibilities they will give to you. One of our producers, an editor and a few of our assistant editors started off as interns here! You never know where this internship may lead you!
