The Production Intern assists the Director of Production and Director of Post Production with the A/V need for live events and edits at The Commonwealth Club of California.

This position works closely with the production crew to help run audio and video for events at The Club, as well as at off-site events in venues throughout the Bay Area.

Duties will include set-up and teardown of A/V equipment, sound reinforcement, videography, audio recordings, etc. Other duties may include editing audio, video, data entry, label making, research, etc. Hours will tend to be later afternoon to early evenings, depending on the timing of events.

Recent grads and/or current students of film, video, and audio are encouraged to apply.


A lot of editing is done here. So majority of your work and time will be syncing, logging, and doing a pre-cut of many of the video and audio edits before they are sent out.

This is an unpaid internship with a $70 travel stipend per month.

This is a great opportunity for students and recent grads to get experience at a non-profit whose productions air on national radio and the Local California Channel!

Knowledge of basic audio engineering principles is required.
Experience with AVID's Pro Tools and Adobe CS-CC apps
Experience in video camera operations and photography are a plus
Knowledge of editing (audio and video)
Ability to carry up to 30lbs
